Class Description

Embark on a transformative 5-week journey of healing and self-discovery with our trauma-informed yoga class, guided by the mantra, "Yoga is for everybody in every body." This class is specifically designed to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all individuals no matter the level of experience.

Led by our compassionate instructor, Kryssi, each session will incorporate gentle yoga poses, mindful breathing techniques, and guided meditation practices tailored to promote healing, resilience, and empowerment. Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed principles and we strive to support every student to feel safe, respected, and supported throughout their journey.

Over the course of five weeks, you will learn how to reconnect with your body, cultivate a sense of inner peace, and develop tools for managing stress and anxiety. Whether you're a survivor of trauma, dealing with chronic pain, or simply seeking a holistic approach to healing, this class offers a brave space for you to explore the healing power of yoga at your own pace.

No prior yoga experience is necessary, and variations will be offered to support individual needs and abilities. Join us as we come together in community to honor the resilience of the human spirit and embrace the healing journey through yoga. You are not alone, and you are worthy of healing and wholeness. Let's walk this path together, one breath at a time.

Equity Pricing

Empowered Spaces and Majestic Rhose Yoga & Wellness (Krystle “Kryssi” Crayton-Day) value community care. Given the systemic injustice in this world which affects each of us differently, this equity pricing scale acknowledges that our ability to pay for services, and access those services, varies. We offer a self-determined sliding scale based on the ways that your identity grants you access to privilege and to social capital, e.g. race, gender & sexual identity, socio-economic status, educational background, able-bodied-ness, etc.

CLASS SERIES RATE OPTIONS:

Supporter Rate - "I can help support my community" - $125 series/ $25 per class

Sustainer Rate - "I can pay my way" - $75 series/ $15 per class

Community Rate - "I can use support from my community" - $25 series/ $5 per class

Meet Kryssi

I am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and earned my yoga teacher certification through Breathe For Change in March of 2023. Also through Breathe For Change, I earned a Social Emotional Learning Facilitator certification. I focus on yoga that is trauma-informed, equitable, accessible, community-based, and healing. In my classes, I emphasize and implement the belief that yoga is for everybody in every body. Every asana is optional and I encourage you to listen to what your body needs in each moment. I am here to offer a brave space for your practice and to guide you during your journey on your mat.
