Trauma-Informed Restorative Yoga Offering
This offering is intended to support you in the practice of resting, being, and coming as you are. Something in us gets to settle as we tend to our inner world with attentiveness and curiosity. Join me in sharing space with loving community this May and explore the presence and gifts of connection. As our natural world has entered longer days, the blooming of spring, and transitions to summer’s warmer rays, our spirits may feel afresh and extending with the hope for connection.

The majority of the produce we grow is donated to the expectant families of color served through Jamaa Birth Village’s comprehensive Equal Access Midwifery Clinic (EAMC)
The Empowered Spaces Community Garden is an organic gardening cooperative dedicated to quality food access for all, embodied healing and wellness education, equitable and empowering community, and anti-racist solidarities. Through cooperative farming and community partnerships, we seek to create locally-based, environmentally sustainable, trauma-informed and justice-driven modes of connection, resiliency, and interdependence.
We invite you to join our garden co-op, and in our mission to create more of the world we want to see!
Yoga for Self-Trust - A 6-Week Trauma-Informed Yoga Series
Join me in moving our bodies with the intention of leaning inwards, practicing presence, bearing witness to our inner experience, and cultivating greater trust with our bodies, mind, and hearts through the process. Through the use of mindful repetitive movement, gentle and active breathwork, tapping, gentle sound practices (such as humming), and guided meditation we will soften into greater acceptance and trust with ourselves. If you are curious to expand your understanding of self-trust through the honoring and acceptance of what arises in the physical and emotional, this offering is for you!
Reach: a somatic movement series
This offering is intended to nourish a tender nervous system, and support joint health, all while practicing in community. My hopes are that you are able to re-connect with your body and earth, process and integrate felt experience, and leave with a sense of ease. This series combines gentle somatic movement that guide you through early developmental movement patterns, with reminders of our connection to the natural world. Each class is gentle, slow, and mostly low to the ground with a primary emphasis on ways to find support no matter where you are in the practice.
Donation based class. All proceeds will donated directly to Missouri Abortion Fund.

Back to Body Series: Four Weeks of Trauma-Informed Yoga
The back to body series is a series of four trauma informed yoga classes. Each session will be an hour and half long, allowing time for reflection and community building before/after class.
These classes are inspired by the wisdom of polyvagal theory and yoga in order for us to study ourselves somatically in supporting the healing journey. Each class will build off of the previous as we develop new ways of connecting to the body through movement, breath and stillness. While the classes are designed as a series of four, drop ins are also welcome and will still be accessible.

Unwind and Restore
No matter who we are, how we spend our time, what drives us and gives us purpose in life, we all need intentional moments of rest in our week to feel vitalized and centered within ourselves. This gentle offering is intended to extend exactly this. An opportunity to slow down, sink in, breathe deep, awaken, and lift our energies for the first third of class and then release into a deep state of rest for the remainder of our time. This monthly series exists to support and perhaps deepen or expand your weekly self-care practices.

Welcome to a yoga experience designed to invite you into a sweeter relationship with yourself. Throughout each class, you’ll have the opportunity to listen to your body’s cues, cultivate your mind-spirit-body connection, and give yourself permission to move (or not move!) in a way that brings you peace and pleasure. This yoga series will use gentle yoga, breath work, and meditation as methods to nurture and befriend your one and only self. We will also hold space for the many intersectional experiences that cause division within ourselves, such as systemic racism, sexism, and trauma. These experiences and their effects are not packages we can simply “leave at the door.” They are part of us, but through intentional healing processes, we can ensure they do not hold power over us. This yoga series offers yet another practice to support you in your unique healing journey.
Back to Body: Tier 1 - Educational + Somatic Series
This series aims to discuss the intricacies of trauma both on an individual level and within our communities. We will approach this through the lens of polyvagal theory, neuroscience, and then draw parallels to yogic philosophy as well as somatic practices. Because we all have nervous systems, this series is relevant for anyone and everyone interested in understanding the human experience in a deeper way.
Back to Body: Tier 2 - Trauma-Informed Teacher Training
This tier is for yoga teachers, movement coaches, or anyone interested in teaching somatic work. It includes everything in tier 1 above with the addition of 4 extra sessions. During these sessions we will discuss and practice how to apply actually applying the concepts we’ve learned into teaching movement and inquiry to others in a way that is informed by polyvagal theory and trauma. Further than that, this training aims to bridge the gap of understanding between the clinical world and the somatic world - as we know that both are important in the healing process.
