Jessie Kissinger, 200-hour RYT (she/her)

Yoga Teacher

Jessie Kissinger has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and teaching since 2018. She completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training at Joy of Yoga with Joy Page and Jill Dunlap and later attended a 40-hour Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) workshop with David Emerson and Jenn Turner.

Her meditation and movement classes emphasize somatic cues to highlight the mind/body connection. She tends to offer a slow, embodied flow, using language that considers the diverse experiences and nervous systems of her students. Her only goal is to create a space where you can listen to your body, breathe, and be kind to yourself.

Outside of teaching, Jessie is studying counseling at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is also a home gardener. One of the great joys of her life was spending a month at the Navdanya Biodiversity Conservation Farm, founded by Dr. Vandana Shiva, where Jessie learned how radical it can be to save a seed.
