Community Garden Manager

Amy has been actively involved with nutrition and gardening since she transitioned away from a career in hospitality. Amy has her Master’s degree in Nutrition & Integrated Health and became a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist in 2017. She began combining her clinical nutrition background with community education in Washington, DC by working with FRESHFARM to bring garden to table curriculum to local schools and supporting the Produce Plus initiative at farmers’ markets. After moving to St. Louis, she completed an apprenticeship at EarthDance Organic Farm School and served as a volunteer for Urban Harvest STL.  

Amy’s joy and curiosity for growing food is inherited from her grandmother who instilled in her the belief that gardening is a meaningful way to connect with oneself, the community and the environment.
