Botanical Meditations: building relationship with plant allies through somatic experience
In The Garden are a series of workshops in the Empowered Spaces Community Garden that explore integrative justice driven approaches to embodiment, mental health, and wellness, both individually and collectively. Join us for Botanical Meditations: building relationship with plant allies through somatic experience on September 22, 9:00-11:00am with Brea Youngblood (she/her). From 9:00 - 10:30 am you are welcome to join us for gardening in the Empowered Spaces Community Garden, and then the workshop will begin at 10:30am. Join Empowered Spaces community members Rachel Tate and Brea Youngblood for this two part In The Garden Workshop. Both of these teachers will provide their own version of class with opportunity to engage with aromatics in thoughtful ways. In each 30 minute class, you will have the opportunity take in sensation with one or all plants including mint, garden sage, rosemary, or basil.

Quieting the Storm is a 12-week therapeutic empowerment group for teen girls in high school (an inclusive space for all teen girls). Since 2009, these sacred spaces have offered support and comfort that invites each individual to explore and reconnect with her most authentic selves as she learns valuable tools to help navigate her world. Individuals find connection with one another while working on building self-compassion, confidence, self-awareness, healthy coping strategies, and skills to develop healthy relationships.
heARTful wellness workshop
You are invited to experience a calming, mindful, and creativity infused time to give yourself the gift of pause and connection. Our 90 minutes together is co-created as a safer space for you to turn down the noise of daily life and center yourself using a variety of art materials. A mindfulness intention will be provided as a way to guide our time exploring and playing with art materials. Renée will provide support and inspiration as needed. There will be moments to connect with yourself as well as moments to connect with the other participants as we practice creative mindfulness together.
Restorative Yoga: Rest & Reset
This gentle and rejuvenating yoga class is designed to help you unwind, de-stress, and restore balance in both your body and mind. Through a series of supported poses, deep breathing, and mindful relaxation, you'll experience a calming practice that encourages deep rest and healing. Perfect for all levels, this class focuses on soothing the nervous system, enhancing flexibility, and resetting your energy. Whether you're recovering from a busy day or simply seeking a peaceful escape, "Restorative Yoga: Rest & Reset" offers the perfect opportunity to relax, recharge, and reconnect with yourself.

Painting Connection
In The Garden are a series of workshops in the Empowered Spaces Community Garden that explore integrative justice driven approaches to embodiment, mental health, and wellness, both individually and collectively. Join us for Painting Connection on July 13, 9:00-11:00am with Renee Tate (she/they). From 9:00 - 10:00 am you are welcome to join us for gardening in the Empowered Spaces Community Garden, and then the workshop Painting Connection will begin at 10am. Join us to cultivate connection through community artmaking, and invest in yourself and our community while engaging in creativity and present moment awareness, aspects of being well at a heART level. Genuine wellness is a practice. Let's practice together!

This Angel Band Project Workshop is a free music therapy group for survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence. No musical experience necessary. Our music therapy small group workshop will meet weekly for 8 weeks, and will focus on the recognition and importance of self-love. Together, we’ll focus on creating a sense of community through music and talk therapy.
