Meet Our Founder

Kelly Caul, MSW, LCSW, SEP (she/her)

Kelly is a clinical social worker offering both individual and group therapy in private practice since 2009. As an integrative trauma psychotherapist, Kelly is committed to supporting individuals in reclaiming their wholeness by reconnecting to their intuitive and embodied wisdom, inner strength, and inherent capacity for healing. She is also passionate about holding space for the cultivation of compassionate, connected, and just communities. Her work over the years is what sparked the beginnings of Empowered Spaces.

Her vision is for Empowered Spaces to support a collective of psychotherapists, yoga teachers, meditation teachers, activists and other wellness practitioners who are committed to bringing trauma-informed and resilience focused, equitable, and justice driven offerings to the community.

As a trauma-informed and resilience-focused community organization, the services at Empowered Spaces focus on individuals becoming safely embodied, cultivating compassion, and authentically attuned connections to support both individual and collective healing and transformation.

Knowing that as wellness professionals our learning is never over and that our own personal growth and healing is foundational in being able to do this work, another primary mission for Empowered Spaces is to hold sacred space for intentional community building among wellness professionals and activists.

In service of this mission, Empowered Spaces is committed to providing ongoing training, and is a gathering place for wellness professionals and activists to put down their professional roles and receive friendship, healing, and support. Empowered Spaces is honored to host educators, thought leaders, activists, yoga instructors and wellness experts from across the country as we continue to learn, grow, and heal together. Empowered Spaces’ growth and development since the opening in June 2018 has been an emergent process resulting from the collaborative work of Kelly and the Empowered Spaces Advisory Circle.
