Angela Dahm, RYT 200 (she/her)
Registered Yoga Teacher
Angela Dahm is an experienced yoga teacher with over 25 years of personal practice and a certified Yoga Alliance RYT® 200 instructor since she completed Hatha Yoga teacher training at Urban Breath Yoga in 2020. Since 2021, Angela has been dedicated to bringing the benefits of chair yoga to senior citizens in diverse settings such as nursing homes, healthcare facilities, libraries, and community centers. Her classes integrate her knowledge of the nervous system with yogic philosophy, offering students variations to promote autonomy, self-nurturing, and well-being. Her classes are built around the pillars of community, compassion, and circulation, helping students achieve both physical and mental balance.
Angela completed a 30-hour certification with Dr. Arielle Schwartz in Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga in 2022-2023. Her teaching style incorporates practices learned from studying the Yoga Sutras, embodied anatomy, somatic psychology, and Ayurvedic technology to blend yogic traditions with modern neuroscience. Angela creates a wholesome, inclusive environment for students through thoughtful sequencing and mindfulness practices. She guides students toward a deeper connection with their bodies and minds, making yoga accessible to everyone.
Angela attended anti-racism training via Crossroads in 2019 and has participated in several book studies such as Witnessing Whiteness, Skill in Action and White Fragility, to deeply examine ideas for integrating justice into teaching yoga’s eight limbs and how to support people who face discomfort or resistance due to injustice. Her passion for somatic psychology, social justice, and trauma-informed care help her explore how yoga can serve as a tool for personal and collective healing.
