Angel of Rejoice Ceremony

Sunday, September 10 9:00 - 11:00am
Led by Angela L. Chostner (she/her)

In The Garden are a series of workshops in the Empowered Spaces Community Garden that explore integrative justice driven approaches to embodiment, mental health, and wellness, both individually and collectively.

Join us for Angel of Rejoice Ceremony on September 10, 9:00-11:00am with Angela L. Chostner.

From 9:00 - 10:00 am we will be harvesting in the Empowered Spaces Community Garden, and then the workshop will begin at 10:00am. We will be creating a community art piece to hang in the garden.

Angel of Rejoice Ceremony

What do you want to say goodbye to as summer melts into fall?

This family friendly workshop invites participants to engage in simple creative activities featuring angels, stars and rocks.

We will create space for joy in our life by: RELEASE- recognizing what is not ours to carry and letting it go. This could be inherited beliefs about self, cultural expectations or  conditioning.

Next we will RECLAIM  vibrant parts of ourselves we have forgotten or tucked away to feel safe or deflect judgement of others. We will reclaim our wholeness as individuals.

Next,  we will REJOICE in community with the completion of a communal piece of art and the opportunity to share any personal discoveries made during the process.

Facilitated by St. Louis artist Angela L. Chostner.

These workshops are free to our community garden members, and donation based to the larger community - pay what you can - if you can. 100% of all donations go to supporting the garden and our food share program with Jamaa Birth Village. Donations can be made at the workshop, or via Venmo or Paypal.
