Meet Renee Tate (she/they)

Psychotherapist, Registered Art Therapist, Registered Expressive Arts Therapist

heARTful remedies, LLC in January 2020. A foundational principle of heARTful remedies is that when we engage in creativity, we are able to access more possibilities for change. Creativity allows us to use our whole Self to discover solutions we might not find as easily through a singular medium such as talking. Renée is passionate about providing creative care through a cultural humility framework inside and outside the therapy room with a focus on equity, access, allyship, safety, and authenticity.

In 2023, Renée started facilitating local heARTful wellness workshops and authored heARTful wellness: mindfulness tips for daily wellness adult coloring workbook (2023) as a means to provide greater creative community care and make mental health wellness skills more accessible.

Renee believes that we all have infinite capacity to grow and heal–sometimes we just need some extra support or additional tools. Renée loves to create textile art, garden, and play with her therapy dog Justyce.
