What is your practice?

By Kelly Caul, MSW, LCSW, SEP (she/her)

Intentional embodied practice is the catalyst for lasting change and transformation - both individually and collectively.

Practice asks us to reflect.
It asks us to identify what we value, what we most care about, and what we envision for life moving forward.

Practice calls us into presence and awareness.
It asks us to recognize the ways we have been shaped - the ways we have been conditioned by dominant culture, and the ways old survival energy continue to show up and drive our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Practice asks us to acknowledge where we have been and where we want to go.

Practice requires reconnection.
Our conditioned, habitual responses come from a disconnected place. Practice lovingly invites us into deep connection and sacred relationship with our Selves and all living beings.

Practice is hope in action.
We practice because we hold the belief in possibility, the possibility that things can change and transform.

When we are able to pause and orient to ourselves, our community, and the land underneath our feet - we can reconnect with the practice we are being called to in this moment.

We commit to practice so that we can show up for ourselves and for our community.
We practice so that we can heal, grow, and transform.

And, the good news is that we don’t have to do it alone  - and we are not meant to do it alone.

We build community to hold space for our practices, AND as we practice together we cultivate community.
