Subtle Strength

Saturdays 11:00am - 12:15pm

Starting November 2

Led by Tiger Rahman, M.A.Ed, 500-CYT (they/he)

Founder of Live Your Own Life

Life is hard. Let’s play.

Strength and stability for the mind and body. Tools to live your own life.

“Of all spiritual disciplines, knowledge of Self is verily the direct means for liberation as fire for cooking. Liberation cannot be attained without knowledge of Self”. - Adi Shankaracharya, Atmabodha v. 2

The body, mind, and intellect are windows - they reflect our nature when closed …these same windows let in our nature when open.

All action begins with consciousness and thought.

It doesn’t matter how subtle your action is, and inaction is impossible.

Belief, attention, and intention over time lead to powerful results.

Subtle Strength

Start the weekend with a focus on subtle strength and stabilization of the physical and emotional bodies.

Classes will progress through an arc of breath, group check-ins, journaling, visualization, supported physical engagement, and dialogue.

Expect that each student will explore the physical practice in different ways, including as completely internalized practices.

Masks required, previous skills aren’t. All bodies welcome.

Regain strength and dynamism.

Equity Pricing

Empowered Spaces and Live Your Own Life value community care. Given the systemic injustice in this world which affects each of us differently, this equity pricing scale acknowledges that our ability to pay for services, and access those services, varies. We offer a self-determined sliding scale based on the ways that your identity grants you access to privilege and to social capital, e.g. race, gender & sexual identity, socio-economic status, educational background, able-bodied-ness, etc.

Recommended contribution: $15 - $25

*Full & Partial scholarships available: Empowered Spaces is committed to doing everything possible to make offerings accessible to everyone. To inquire about the Empowered Spaces Equity Scholarship please contact Kelly at kkcaul@yahoo.com.

Health Precautions and Community Care
