Meet Deanna

Deanna Sophia Danger (they/them) is certified mindfulness meditation teacher, a community wellBEing coach, a retired performance artist and all around “Professional Catalyst.” With over a decade of experience cultivating LGBTQIA2S+ arts & entertainment community, Deanna’s approach to mindfulness facilitation is creative, expressive and grounded in a down-to-earth, “rawthentic” vibe. Suitable for all experience levels & identities, Deanna’s coaching offers an intrinsically trauma-sensitive & anti-oppressive foundation. Their coaching style supports students’ wellness journey’s from exactly where they are, towards cultivating a resonant relationship with their own nervous system, honing self-agency, dissolving self-shame & blame, increasing access to joy, and developing a felt-sense of true belonging.

Deanna has studied mindfulness with phD psychology scholars & authors, Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach as a scholarship recipient, and 2023 graduate of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, accredited by the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at The University of California at Berkeley. As a working class, neurodiverse, queer, nonbinary, IPV & trauma survivor, and former sex worker Deanna is passionate about retrieving inaccessible “self care” from the corporate wellness industry to foster sustainable, survival care for under-resourced communities and Mother Earth herself. With a bachelors in Communications: Mass Media, Deanna is also a fervent activist towards media mindfulness, digital privacy & ethics and holistic, community-driven media culture.
