Bi-Weekly WellBEing Meditation Sessions

Every 1st & 3rd Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30pm CST
Led by Deanna Sophia Danger (they/them/theirs)

A bi-weekly, guided, wellBEing meditation practice session open to all experience levels & identities, with rotating structured themes & teachings of the “Four Foundations of Vipassana,” from Certified Meditation Coach & Dharma Teacher, Deanna Sophia Danger.

Meditators will be guided to cultivate the four foundational skills of the Satipatthana Sutra, as a structured practice container to facilitate rawthentic (aka messy & real) wellBEing. These four foundations are interrelated tools meant to be learned in unison and in community, to cultivate ease, stability, flexibility, nurturance, joy and felt-sense BElonging…Forming accessible, relatable & practical techniques to support all human BEings.

Odd months:

1st Session: Breath & Other Accessible Anchors

Meditators will practice establishing meditative anchors for ease, stability & nervous system resonance.

2nd Session: Sensations & Emotions

Meditators will practice differentiating the languages of sensations & emotions to support reconnection of body, mind & spirit.

Even Months:

1st Session: Thoughts & Thought Patterns

Meditators will practice working with & releasing harmful thought patterns, and increasing access to agency & choice.

2nd Session: The Dharma / Experience

Meditators will practice integrating the basics of vipassana with other teachings of the dharma to deepen skill building, wisdom, rawthenticity, felt-sense BElonging, personal & collective wellBEing, and more.

All sessions are anti-oppressive & trauma-informed, with virtual attendance options available. It is recommended that beginning meditators learn & practice each of the 4 foundations to gain a fuller understanding of "how to meditate." Join as many as you can and often to get a feel for how to support your own meditation practice "on and off the cushion."
