Meet Melissa

Licensed Massage Therapist, Myofascial Release Expert, Women's Life Coach, Breast & Body Rehab Specialist & Coach, Creator of the Myofascial Stretch Method

For the last 23 years, I have been helping women get out of pain, learn how to regulate their nervous system, and rediscover their joy in their day to day life.  Throughout my work advocating aftercare for pelvic floor symptoms, and breast cancer surgeries and treatments, I have been teaching these same women to become advocates for themselves within the healthcare system and the world around them.

I am an Expert Level Myofascial Release (MFR) therapist and the founder/owner and lead therapist of Quantum Healing Arts located in Saint Louis, Missouri. I am also a certified Life Coach and have completed inclusivity and trauma-informed coach training.

Identifying the lack of aftercare for women recovering from breast cancer, I developed Beloved Bust; online programs, community, and support to help women decrease lingering pain and tightness, gain peace of mind, and reclaim their body after breast cancer.  I also developed and teach weekly Myofascial Stretch Method™ classes; a series of classes and self-care techniques created from my years of experience as a myofascial release therapist.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I specialize in the John F. Barnes (JFB) MFR approach; a manual therapy based on gentle sustained pressure into the fascial restrictions to help eliminate pain and help the body restore motion and process trauma. I have been an instructor for the JFB MFR seminars since 2007 and am the approved facilitator/leader for the JFB MFR study group in Saint Louis.  I was given the designation of “Expert Level” MFR therapist by John F. Barnes in 2011 and am a current member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and a graduate from Myotherapy College of Utah, 1999.
