Hope As Active Compassion

Deanna (they/them), is bringing their “EcoDharma: Hope As Active Compassion” offering from STL Earth Day to our Garden Day on 5/17! This offering is a group, regenerative somatic healing practice that weaves the felt-senses + nature elements + “karuna” or “active compassion” together to cultivate interdependent eco-care & climate justice. Deanna teaches from the Theravada and Engaged Buddhist lineages, find more info about their Somatics + Solidarity work at: www.deannadangersomatics.com .

Relax Through Rhythm: A Drum Circle with Eileen Wolfington

July 13

Come and connect with others through the rhythm of the drum led by Eileen Wolfington, M.Ed., CLYT. Drumming reduces stress, promotes relaxation, and fosters a sense of community and belonging.  Explore your creativity and self-exploration without any musical experience.  Djembes, hand held frame drums, and other percussion instruments i.e. maracas, claves, tambourines, etc. will be provided.

Rooted & Resilient: A Shared Practice of Mindful Sensing

July 13

Join us for a grounding 30-minute sensory mindfulness practice in the garden led by Laurie Brockhaus, LCSW, E-RYT500 C-IAYT (she/her). We’ll gently guide our attention through the senses—sight, sound, touch, smell, and even taste—inviting awareness of our natural surroundings and the present moment. In tuning into nature and the support of community, we’re reminded of our ability to adapt, grow, and renew. This practice offers an opportunity to take a pause from everyday stress and busyness and reconnect with your own inner steadiness. All are welcome; no experience necessary. Gentle movement, seated (on the ground or in a chair) and walking meditation will be offered, and you will be encouraged to practice in a way that feels right for you.

Join us in creating more of the world we want to see!
