Reach: a 6 week movement series

Tuesdays, 5pm-6:30pm CT

March 28 - May 2, 2023

Led by Rachel Tate (they/she)

Join Rachel this spring for a class designed to support the transition to a new, budding season.

This series combines gentle somatic movement that guides you through early developmental movement patterns, with reminders of our connection to the natural world.

Each class is gentle, slow, and mostly low to the ground with a primary emphasis on ways to find support no matter where you are in the practice.

There is a large emphasis on physical support, somatic inquiry, and tender nervous system care.

Class Details

Who: this class is adaptable to most folks who can get up and down from the ground or a chair. During class there will be multiple options and adaptation for movements. If you are unsure if this series meets your needs, please schedule a complimentary 30 minute call.

Bring: your preferred mat for support. If you do not have a mat, extras are provided.

Equity Pricing

At Empowered Spaces, we value community care. Given the systemic injustice in this world which affects each of us differently, this equity pricing scale acknowledges that our ability to pay for services, and access those services, varies. We offer a self-determined sliding scale based on the ways that your identity grants you access to privilege and to social capital, e.g. race, gender & sexual identity, socio-economic status, educational background, able-bodied-ness, etc.

  • Sustainer Rate - "I can pay my way" - $108

  • Supporter Rate - "I can help support my community" - $162

  • Community Rate - "I can use support from my community" - $54

  • *Full and Partial Scholarships available

**Full & Partial scholarships: Empowered Spaces is committed to doing everything possible to make offerings accessible to everyone. To inquire about the Empowered Spaces Equity Scholarship please contact Kelly at kkcaul@yahoo.com

Meet Rachel

Massage therapist and Movement Guide

For nearly 15 years, I have been working as a health and wellness professional serving various communities. Within my experience as a provider and patient, I have developed the ability to create comforting environments that invite regulation, supported by various tools and resources. In each space I hold, I seek to meet the individuals in my community where they are, in each moment.

As a massage therapist & movement guide, I believe the core of why I do this work is to develop supportive connections with others, earth, and myself. Stemming from my value in relationship, is my great curiosity and interest in how our bodies function and experience life on this planet.

I aim to support others in the ongoing journey of self and communal connection. I am especially passionate about fostering the relationship to our earth body, and enjoy sharing tools and resources to enhance personal rituals. Through my ever evolving practice and continuing education, I strive to consistently develop and offer quality care for those I have the privilege of communing with.
